Join us for a unique opportunity to develop jazz, ballet and musical theater dance skills from one of NYC’s best choreographers!

Class will include physical warm-up, floor work focusing on turn combinations in both jazz and ballet and a musical theater style piece that students will execute in small groups at the end of the session.


José de la Cuesta is an award-winning director/choreographer living in NYC whose credits include A Chorus Line, Sugar Babies, West Side Story and 42nd Street. His work has been performed at Carnegie Hall, Trumps Casino in Atlantic City and Hersheypark (for which he won several awards). He has received the prestigious Carbonnell Award for best choreographer and multiple Perry Awards and is a renowned teacher at studios and universities nationwide, including NYC’s Broadway Dance Center, Metropolitan Fine Arts Center and Farleigh Dickinson University where he was an adjunct professor of dance. As a performer Jose has toured extensively in the United States and internationally and has worked with such stars as Chita Rivera, Barbara Eden, Brooke Shields, and Lonnie Anderson among others.
