JOSHUA HAKIMIAN or “Mr. Josh” as the children know him, has been supervising  the Vacation Arts Program since 2010 at the Gold Coast Arts Center. He enjoys working alongside the children to ensure that they have a great time participating in all different types of art. He always loves seeing children return to the program each time it’s offered. Joshua has extensive experience with childcare programs on Long Island. Summers, he works as a recreational aide for the Great Neck Public Schools Summer Recreation Program. Currently, he is pursuing his Masters’ degree and certification in Childhood and Special Education, Grades 1-6.

AMY HARITON (Pre-K and General Camp Director, Vacation Arts Supervisor, Party Planner) has been teaching and supervising at the Gold Coast Arts Center for 2 years in the Summer and Vacation Arts program. She very successfully headed the Pre-K division of the Summer Arts program. In 2015, she will continue as Pre-K director and camp director. Amy, who has done catering and events planning over 10 years, is the new party coordinator .

Amy has taught and supervised during the year and in the summer program at Midway Nursery School in Syosset, NY for the past 13 years. She is involved in Midway’s Engage Jewish Learning Program in addition to participating in early childhood conferences. She received a Bachelors Degree from Queens College in 1984. Amy resides in Plainview, Long Island with her husband and daughter. She loves to cook and enjoys being active.  Amy says “Being with children, watching them grow or having fun with them is truly a gift.”
