Gold Coast Arts & International Film Festival is proud to present a new series of virtual workshops designed specifically for high school students interested in careers in the arts. In partnership with Manhasset Secondary School English and Social Studies Departments, and Manhasset Secondary School Film Club.
This workshop focuses on Careers in the Film and Entertainment Industry and includes a diverse panel for film and theater.

MEET THE SPEAKERS:
Leah Dubie is a Creative Director and Comedy Writer with a diverse background in television and comedy. From high-end commercials, show launches, and upfront presentations to funny in-show segments with A-list movie talent, Leah has spent nearly two decades creating award-winning marketing campaigns and entertaining audiences. Currently, a Creative Director at Warner Bros. Discovery, she oversees and develops innovative promotional campaigns and branding strategies for Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing. Leah is a graduate of Hofstra University where she (sometimes) played on the Women’s Lacrosse team.
Matt McElhannon is a Senior Writer/Producer with extensive experience in writing for television comedy and animation, Matt has written and produced promo campaigns, show launches, television & movie trailers, as well as live-action and animated programming, for over twenty-five years. He’s been a fan of television and animation even longer. Matt is a Senior Writer/Producer at Warner Bros. Discovery in Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing where he writes and produces promos and trailers for some of his favorite properties including The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, and DC. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Matt is possibly the biggest Georgia Bulldog fan you will ever meet.
Emily Tamres is a Television Publicity executive with over 15 years of experience developing and executing public and media relations strategies across scripted and unscripted programming. Emily currently serves as a Senior Manager of Publicity for Warner Bros. Television, where she oversees publicity campaigns for a diverse slate of high-profile series across various genres, including “Ted Lasso,” “Shrinking,” “Queen Sugar,” “East New York,” “The Cleaning Lady,” the “Gossip Girl” revival and “Manifest.” Emily received her B.A. in Radio/Television/Film from Northwestern University.
