COMIC BIOS

Marla Schultz is a headlining stand-up comedian, speaker and actress. For two years she toured with Chelsea Handler, entertained the U.S. Military overseas and is a regular on Sirius XM Insight’s Tell Me Everything with John Fugelsang. As an advocate for The National Alliance on Mental Illness ‘NAMI’ “In Your Own Voice” speaker, she regularly presents to mental health practitioners, graduate psychology students and hospitalized patients, sharing her story of recovery from anxiety and depression.

Rich Walker is a headlining comedian that performs at venues around the country. Rich is a long time veteran of Quality Stand-Up Comedy and one of the most versatile performers we have today. Voted “1st Place WINNER” of the BEST of L.I. 2011 & 2012 by the Long Island Press, Rich has been seen performing at some of the Country’s top comedy clubs, colleges, venues & benefit events. Rich has been delighted and honored to share the stage with some of show business’s biggest names such as Ray Romano, Kevin James, Dom Irrera and Johnny Maestro the Brooklyn Bridge.

Paul Anthony is a New York-based comedian and producer best known for his project The Long Island Comedy Festival. Paul has performed and produced comedy shows at top theater venues across the country, especially in the Northeast. Other projects include: The Berkshire Comedy Festival, New Year’s LAUGHIN’ Eve, Mom’s Night Out and Gold Coast Arts very own The 50+ Comedy Tour.

“Most people don’t know that comedy is harder to do than drama. What makes someone really funny is when they touch on a universal truth that we recognize. These three comics are pros. They face friendly and hostile audiences with the same courage and sense of fun. Now they are facing the most difficult challenge, how to be funny without any audience during this time of social isolation. Please join us for an illuminating conversation and gain some insight into the mindset of a stand-up comic.” Regina Gil, Executive Director of Gold Coast Arts and moderator of this special event.
