A Conversation with Award-Winning Actor & Producer Navid Negahban @ Cultural Insider Series
May 29 – Jun 9 all-day

Navid Negahban, sometimes referred to as “the man of a thousand faces,” is widely regarded for his portrayal of “Abu Nazir” on the Emmy award-winning Showtime Series HOMELAND opposite Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, and Damian Lewis.  His quiet and composed portrayal of the dangerous Al-Qaeda leader won him worldwide recognition and made his character a household name after just two seasons.

On the big screen, Navid recently starred opposite Will Smith as the Sultan in Disney’s 2019 remake of ALADDIN, and in the internationally acclaimed film BABA JOON, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to win five Ophir Awards, the equivalent of the Israeli Oscar. Other notable credits include 12 STRONG, starring Chris Hemsworth; BRAIN ON FIRE directed by Gerard Barrett and starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Richard Armitage and Carrie-Anne Moss; DAMASCUS COVER, with Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Olivia Thirlby, and John Hurt; Clint Eastwood’s AMERICAN SNIPER, starring  Bradley Cooper; BROTHERS starring Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal; CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR starring Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and Amy Adams; and WORDS AND PICTURES with Clive Owens and Juliette Binoche. On television, in addition to HOMELAND, Navid is widely known for his starring role in LEGION.

Navid is the founder of the Romany Artist Center & Studio, an artist hostel and creative space located in L.A.’s Boyle Heights neighborhood that provides “housing, a studio and recording space, and an opportunity to earn an income, for artists who need a place to stay and work while they get on their feet.” Click HERE to learn more about this incredible center.
