BERNIE GENZER has been a fencing coach for 20 years at Richmond High School and Great Neck High and has taught fencing in the Gold Coast Arts Center’s outreach programs at Westbury Middle School and JHS 185 in Flushing. Additionally, he has refereed high school fencing matches for saber, epee, and foil, and taught numerous private lessons.
JOHN WILHELM is a member of the United States Fencing Association (USFA) and the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA). He received his foil fencing coach and wheelchair fencing coach certiﬁcation from the USFA at the Olympic Training Camp in Colorado Springs and his Moniteur in Foil, Epee, and Saber Fencing from the USFCA. His teaching credits include Yeshiva University NCAA Fencing Team Coach, High School Varsity for Mamaroneck HS and Hewlett HS and The Hackley School, and Stony Brook Fencing Club and Youth Fencing at numerous after school and summer camps including New York City Parks Department. Mr. Wilhelm coordinated Stony Brook’s Fencing Open, one of the largest USFA fencing competitions on Long Island. Since 2004 he has instructed individual and team fencing at the Gold Coast Arts Center.
