KAYLA HO has been teaching and mentoring students in STEM for over ten years, specializing in electronics, programming and logic, robotics, and computer-aided design (CAD). She taught students from ages 7-18 over the last five years in the Long Island and NYC areas. Kayla has over five years of competitive robotics experience in the local and international levels, both as a competitor and as a coach/mentor. Over the years, she has also served as an advisor and mentor for international robotics organizations based in Asia and has chaired various robotics events. She is an embedded software and electrical engineer in the medical industry. Kayla received her Bachelor’s degree from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) at Old Westbury in Electrical and Computer Engineering with dual minors in Mathematics and Energy Science, Policy, and Technology as well as a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since 2013, she has been a member of the IEEE, the largest technical professional organization in the world. Kayla is passionate and excited about teaching the next generation of STEM leaders at Gold Coast Arts Center.
