KAYLA HO has been teaching and mentoring students in STEM specializing in electronics, programming and logic, robotics, and computer-aided design (CAD). Since 2013, she has worked with students ages 7-18 in the Long Island and NYC areas. Kayla has more than ten years of competitive robotics experience in the local and international levels, both as a competitor and as a coach/mentor. Over the years, she has also served as an advisor and mentor for international robotics organizations based in Asia and has chaired various robotics events. By day, she is an embedded software and electrical engineer in the medical consumer device industry. Kayla received her education from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) at Old Westbury in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since 2013, she has been a member of the IEEE, the largest technical professional organization in the world and is also the founder of Coast 2 Coast Robotics, an organization dedicated to redefining robotics and STEM education. Kayla is passionate and excited about teaching the next generation of STEM leaders at Gold Coast Arts Center.
AUGUST RODRIGUEZ has been working with young students since 2015. An enthusiastic STEM engineer, August has a long history of taking thoughts and turning them into physical products. He is an active member of a world-famous robotics team, focusing on mechanical design using CAD software for additive and negative manufacturing. August is enthusiastic and eager to teach budding engineers, programmers, and scientists.
