No sooner does Italian-American widow Loretta accept a marriage proposal from her doltish boyfriend, Johnny, then she finds herself falling for his younger brother, Ronny. She tries to resist, but Ronny loses his hand in an accident he blames on his brother, and has no scruples about aggressively pursuing her while Johnny is out of the country. As Loretta falls deeper in love, she comes to learn that she’s not the only one in her family with a secret romance. Starring Cher and Nicolas Cage. Rated PG


A Fish Called Wanda (Available on Amazon Prime)

An ambitious and sexy con artist (Jamie Lee Curtis) uses every tool at her disposal to obtain a fortune in jewels stolen by her mobster lover. To help in her plan, she woos first her lover’s deadly henchman, and then his attorney, eventually falling in love with one of them. Starring John Cleese, Kevin Kline (steals the show) and Michael Palin. Rated R.

A highly strung news producer (Holly Hunter) finds herself strangely attracted to a vapid anchorman (William Hurt) even though she loathes everything he personifies. To make matters worse, her best friend (Albert Brooks), a talented but not particularly telegenic news reporter, is secretly in love with her.  Rated R.
